About Me
Ever since I was child, I have been inspired by mission-driven work. Between my personal interest in social justice, and being a practitioner of a faith which revolves around service, I could always be found volunteering and working shoulder to shoulder with other activists, hoping to build a better society. My volunteerism has evolved from preparing meals at homeless shelters to community organizing for youth leadership programs, to positions of leadership, where I can not only "get my hands dirty" on the ground, but also leverage my experience in a more strategic role and help shape the organizations that do so much for our communities.
Although professionally I am a technologist, over the last 10 years, I have transitioned in to the nonprofit technology space, where I implement technology solutions that help nonprofits thrive. This has allowed me to combine some of my professional skills with my personal interests
Through my collective experience in the nonprofit space in tandem with my Carey MBA (expected 2015), I would like to focus my efforts on creating constructive opportunities for children and teens in Baltimore as a means to empower, uplift, inspire, and build essential problem solving skills that help alleviate youth poverty.
